Troop Leader Donna is in charge of planning and teaching all of the wonderful lessons we learn during our meetings! She makes sure that learning takes place at every meeting. It makes sense that she's our education coordinator because she's a teacher!
Miss Donna has a pet turtle, named Lucy! She is originally from Rochester, New York and has been teaching in New York City Public Elementary Schools for over 13 years. "It's a lot of fun teaching these group of girls", says Miss Donna. "I love being able to teach indoors and do an art activity one day, then take a trip to someplace exciting the next."
The Harlem Girl Scouts (Troop #3027) has been to a many different places. The troop has visited Victoria Gardens Amusement Park in Central Park, gone fishing on the Hudson River near 125th Street, and touched butterflies at the Museum of Natural History in Manhattan.
