Troop #3027 At the Rink!

A very special "thank you" goes out to the staff of the City Ice Pavillion, in Long Island City, Queens. On February 19, many of our brave girls joined Troop Leaders, Miss Stacey and Miss Jodi, at the ice skating rink to learn how to ice skate. "I did not fall", said Miss Stacey, "but, ice skating is not easy".

Nearly 10 participants, including Girl Scouts, family members and a few parents, enjoyed an ice skating lesson from Coach Dan, who encouraged each girl to start slowly. After a lesson, the girls were given time on the ice to practice and a slice of pizza. See the slide show below, for some highlights of our field trip to the rink!
