Our Girl Scout of the Week is Jada D.! She is a first grader at PS 76 in Harlem. When Jada is asked about her school, she quickly discusses its playground. "The park at my school has two slides; one is a swirly slide and one is a fast slide". Both Jada and her two best friends (both named Felisha) like the swirly slide. Jada's favorite subject is reading and her teacher, Ms. Olivera, reads lots of books to the class. One book in particular, Monkey Trick by Camilla Ashforth, is Jada's favorite. "The monkey is always making noises in the zoo", she explains. When she grows up, Jada wants to be a teacher so she can help children learn.
Jada's favorite color is red and her favorite show is The Suite Life on Deck on the Disney Channel. Congratulations, Jada, you are this week's Girl Scout of the Week!

Thank you very much for Jada's Girl Scout of the week feature. My family and friends loved reading her spin on her life and what she'd like to do in the future. And I bragged about her being in the "bestest" troop ever of course, lol. She loves her Troop and Troop Leaders. Keep up the good work cause she loves coming to her meetings.
