The Three C's

Troop leaders decided to support Dove's Self-Esteem Weekend (October 21-23, 2011).  We wanted to give the girls a powerful message about feeling good about yourself.  We focused on three c's:

1.  Courage
2.  Confidence
3.  Character

The girls were asked to share what they know about those three important personality traits and given a chance to give examples of a time they exhibited each trait.  "Courage is when you do something, even when you are afraid", said Junior Girl Scout, Celeste, "and when you are brave".   The girls were able to create bracelets to remind them of how special they are and were able to take home a special green Girl Scout bracelet embossed with the words "courage", "confidence" and "character".
