Our Girl Scout of the week is 7-year old Makayla C.! Makayla is a second grader at PS/IS 210 in Harlem. Her teacher is Ms Lydia. Her favorite subject in school is reading and her favorite character to read about is Amelia Bedelia. "She's funny", says Makayla when asked to describe this popular children's book character, "she does the wrong things! One time, she tied pieces of steak to leaves...I was giggling". Although Makayla likes to watch Pictureka on HUB, play tag and dance with her friends Jasmine and Maya, her favorite thing to do is play Wii at her grandmother's house! She also likes to go to Six Flags.
When Makayla grows up, she would like to be a famous model or clothing designer. "I want to be a clothing designer because everybody wants to buy your clothes", she says. When asked if there is anything that she wants blog readers to know about her, Makayla replies, "I really like my family, my school and my friends".
