End-of-Year Badge Ceremony

Congratulations to the members of Troop #3027!  At our final meeting of the 2014-2015 season, each girl received a certificate, badges that they earned for completed activities and individual prizes for their cookie sales.  "We are very proud of each of you", said Troop Leader Jodi.  "We look forward to seeing you next year".

Harlem Community Cookie Sale

Troop #3027 spent some time in the Harlem community selling the last batch of Girl Scout Cookies!  We sold 18 cases of cookies in 45 minutes!  We love you Harlem!  Once all the cookies were gone, troop leaders distributed certificates, patches and cookie sale prizes.  "We really had a great year", said Troop Coordinator Miss Jodie.  "We're very proud of each of you".

Let's Party!

We were so excited to start another eventful year for Girl Scout Troop #3027, we wanted to begin the year with a 'Welcome Back' party!  Since we have a fair number of new girls, this meeting was used to allow the girls to get to know each other. We discussed what it means to be a Girl Scout and the history of the troop.  We even had a bridging ceremony for those girls moving to the next level, a scavenger hunt, games and food!  Special thanks to parents who donated food items to make our party complete!

Congratulations to the Girls of Troop #3027

Congratulations to the twenty-three girls of Troop #3027 who recently completed a successful year of Girl Scouts!  At the end of year ceremony, each girl received recieved a certificate and badges from the following activities:

3. Cooking Class at Taste Buds Kitchen
4. T-Shirt Making at The Fashion Class
5. Community Cookie Sale
6. Bowling at Harlem Lanes
7. African Dance with Brother Jerome of LaRocque Bey School of Dance 
8. Corporate Cookie Sale

Girls Get Wings!

Bridging is an important transition in a Girl Scout's life. It's a defining moment when a girl becomes aware of her achievements and is ready for new adventures and responsibilities.  At our last meeting, four girls were acknowledged for their achievements and were given a Rainbow Badge and a Wing Badge.  The badges represent flying over to new horizons.  Congratulations to Jadda and Cassidy (who are now Brownies), Kahliha (now a Junior), and Yanise and Celeste (now Cadette).  Well done, girls!  We look forward to seeing all of the new things that you will learn as you grow!
